The Waterloo Ismaili Students Association (WISA) is a not-for-profit organization that primarily provides a venue for Ismaili Muslim students attending UW to congregate for daily prayers. Waterloo Science Fiction Club (WATSFIC)
Fall 2021

WatSFiC is the University of Waterloo's Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Gaming Club. Originally founded to promote interest in science fiction literature, the club's mandate has since broadened to include all forms of science fiction and fantasy media. Today, WatSFiC boasts the second longest running D&D-Format Tournament in North America, a highly popular Humans vs. Zombies game, an extensive library of science fiction, fantasy, and gaming literature, and much more.

Waterloo Students and Microbiology (WatSAM)
Fall 2021

Waterloo Students and Microbiology (WatSAM) was established to create an avenue for students from all six faculties to collaborate and network. This group is made up of students who are connected to microbiology and are dedicated to fostering the research and education of the study of microbial communities. WatSAM will educate and connect these students as well as facilitate their professional progress in the study of microbiomes.

The purpose of the club is to gather University of Waterloo students, staff, faculty, and members of the UWaterloo community at large to
a) foster interdisciplinary collaborations and relationships between students and Waterloo Centre for Microbial Research (WCMR) members
b) connect and educate students, both graduate and undergraduate, in the diverse world of microbiology

Women in Healthcare
Fall 2021

Women in Healthcare was founded in Spring 2020 with the goal of advancing women in different healthcare fields and advocating for gender equality. We welcome anyone interested in the medical fields including but not limited to medicine, pharmacy, optometry, and dentistry. Our club events, workshops, and mentoring programs will be focused on celebrating achievements of women in healthcare, stimulating dialogue on gender biases in our career path, and empowering female professionals to be leaders in the healthcare field. We hope to become the unique voice for women’s well-being and the advancement of women in healthcare by offering a selection of activities and initiatives open to students of all genders and backgrounds. In solidarity and strength, we will work towards discovering our full potentials as future female healthcare professionals.
