Who we are

The purpose of the club is to gather University of Waterloo students, staff, faculty, and members of the UWaterloo community at large to: Empower and inspire South Asian daughters, in alignment with the mission and principles of Laadliyan. As an official chapter of Laadliyan, we are dedicated to creating a space for South Asian women to come together, connect, and support one another in navigating the unique challenges and experiences they face. The name "Laadliyan" is derived from the Punjabi word "Laadli," meaning “beloved daughter,” a term used by parents to express their deep love and affection for their daughters. Through this chapter, we seek to honour the inherent worth and strength of every South Asian daughter, helping them feel seen, valued, and empowered in every aspect of their lives.
