At Waterloo, Black athletes feel as if the only space they feel comfortable in is either on the hardwood floor or the football/soccer field. So basically Black Athletes are only comfortable in their area of specialty, which is "sports".
This is why we have created BLAC. BLAC will be a club that will allow Black Athletes to do more than just throw a football, run the track, or dribble a ball. BLAC will be a club that allows Black athletes to get comfortable by doing the uncomfortable.
Cabaret is more than just a performance: the troupe is a supporting family. Ranging from dance, to singing, to comedy, to sensational sensations, at a cabaret’s heart is entertainment. It is no lie that life is a Cabaret! Our focus is on producing a fabulous, original show for the UW community at the end of each semester.

The Modern Dance Exploration Club is a dance community which provides exploratory dance workshops centered around the ideas of the modern dance movement of the late 19th to mid 20th century. Informational workshops will be a non-dance environment to learn more about the life and career of a prominent figure from the modern dance movement (including but not limited to Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham Paul Taylor, Lester Horton, etc.). Complimentary dance workshops are opportunities to experience the main movement qualities and philosophies of the chosen prominent figure. Learning specific movement techniques created by the person on which the workshop focuses may be included. However, the bulk of the workshop's is spent in an "free dance" time where participants improvise or create choreography with a group the general movement quality and philosophy learned about in their dancing. When possible, trips to see performances of works choreographed by a prominent figure in the modern dance movement will be taken.

It is about introducing spirituality to students from all different faiths and ethnic backgrounds. More specifically, tangible solutions based in ancient cultures to material problems. The university community like University of Guelph, McMaster University and University of Toronto have clubs similar to this promoting Vedic principles and philosophies. With an increasingly influential “next generation” in these ever-growing communities, we also thought it was about time to bring the young people from these organizations together to discuss the ideas we were brought up with and celebrate the unity in our diversities in an academic setting. Want to challenge a narrative you were taught? We probably do too!
You don’t need prior experience with any of these ideas to join our club. Bring your own opinions, approaches to life and concerns and let’s learn from each other! Our goal is to create a network of like-minded deep thinkers on campus through chill discussions, free workshops, musical meditation and more.
