The principal purpose of the Revolutionary Communist Party club is to gather University of Waterloo students, staff, faculty and members of the UW community at large and serve as a base for socialist politics on the UW campus.
The activity and initiative of the Revolutionary Communist Party Club will be to give a socialist, and working class perspective and education on current (i.e. Gaza, Ukraine, US …) and historical events (i.e. Russian Revolution of 1917) to its members and to those who wish to participate. The Revolutionary Communist Party Club supports the ideas of In Defence of Marxism Magazine. Student-worker solidarity - such as solidarity with workers’ struggles and other student movements nationally and internationally - will be promoted at the discussions and events through statements and solidarity photos. The club will also strongly encourage participation in the student movement to fight tuition fee increases with a long term perspective of free and universal education for all. The club will actively seek out allies on campus with similar goals in both the student body, as well as staff and faculty. The Club will host events as decided by the Club members.
