Such professions can include, but are not limited to: research, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and allied healthcare professions. Our goal is to foster meaningful connections between first and second year students (whether they know what they want to do or not) with upper year students, who have experience with matters such as professional school applications, courses, minors, and much more. We believe in building the community within the biomedical science, honour's science program, and beyond them to form a cohesive network of students helping students.

Global Spark wants to engage students with multidisciplinary thinking that will help solve global issues in three main ways. First, through partnerships with professors in primarily Engineering courses to incorporate global engineering concepts into the engineering curriculum. Secondly, by hosting a speaker series that invites world-renowned speakers who have worked in global development and engineering across international contexts to present their experiences to the student body during Global Engineering Week in March. Thirdly, by organizing local events with other UW clubs throughout the year, aimed to test and apply students’ learning in global engineering to competitions and real-world scenarios.

IC x UW is a student run organization influenced by the “Innocence Canada Foundation". This non profit organization is made up of pro bono lawyers with a mission to exonerate the wrongly convicted, as well as reform the criminal justice system to prevent future injustices in Canada. The purpose of this club is to create an environment where members are welcome to discuss the systemic inequalities that are taking place in our criminal justice system and take action to reform this ongoing situation through fundraising and social awareness. Our club will do so by hosting seminars with criminal defence lawyers in the KW area, as well as run fundraisers that will donate its proceeds to Innocence Canada. The money raised will support both the exonerees and their financial needs, as well as the organization as a whole. ICUW is open to anyone interested in law and activism.
