Inactive Clubs

The UW Mahjong Club provides a social environment to learn and play mahjong. The club currently focuses on Hong Kong mahjong but welcomes players of all types and skill levels. Meetings are held once a week during which members can take turns playing mahjong to hone their skills in preparation for friendly tournaments with prizes. The UW Mahjong Club operates entirely on a non-gambling basis and rather focuses on enjoying the game and immersing members in the unique culture of mahjong.

UWBA is an association whereby students from any background who have an interest in backpacking or traveling gather to gain more knowledge on what the world has to offer. As well, it is a place where students will have the opportunity to network with other students of similar interests and hopefully, backpack together one day. The association work towards building a community of global citizens and fostering long-term friendships.

The UW Chinese Classical Dance Club (UWCCDC) focuses on practicing and performing traditional chinese dances. Members attend weekly sessions where they will learn how to practice chinese dance techniques such as stretches, kicks, and leaps.
