CRIAW-ICREF recognizes women’s diverse experiences and perspectives; creates spaces for developing women’s knowledge; bridges regional isolation; and provides communication links between/among researchers and organizations actively working to promote social justice and equality for all women. Using intersectional frameworks, CRIAW-ICREF have developed and undertaken a variety of important, ground-breaking research that is women centred.

UW Supporting Heart and Stroke is a group of students whose goal is to raise awareness about heart disease, stroke, and related conditions. Heart-related diseases are a burden to many adults, and it often stems from a poor lifestyle at a young age. Our group strives towards creating a healthier community by educating UWaterloo members and raising money in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The UW Undergraduate Research Club (URC) aims to provide current undergraduate students with resources, advice, information, and experiences that will assist them in obtaining research opportunities at the University of Waterloo. UW World Vision is the official university chapter of World Vision Canada, committed to advocating on behalf of the most vulnerable in the world. We raise awareness for the most pressing global issues and fundraise for relief and development projects aimed to create lasting change in the lives of children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. We invite students of all interests, backgrounds, and skills to take part in the global fight for human rights and equality.

The UW Young Greens is a University of Waterloo club for those interested in learning more about the Green Party of Canada, whether or not they are an active supporter. We hope to share the Green Party’s values with others, and discuss how they fit in with today's society. There will be events and discussions in tune with these values, promoting political conversation on campus and with the community.

UW against Child Abuse is a club that aims to raise awareness and funds for the Child Rescue Coalition and other organizations with similar interests. This organization works to protect and rescue children from sexual abuse and child sexual abuse material.

UW UNICEF aims to support and bring awareness to UNICEF Canada’s initiatives around the world, as well as unite students to work together to educate, raise funds and bring forth everlasting change. UW UNICEF is part of the UNICEF on-campus initiative to help make a difference in our local community.

UWBA is an association whereby students from any background who have an interest in backpacking or traveling gather to gain more knowledge on what the world has to offer. As well, it is a place where students will have the opportunity to network with other students of similar interests and hopefully, backpack together one day.
